First, before you put the wig into water, it is wise of you to remove all glue and adhesive from it. In addition, the tangles also should be removed so as to make sure it is much easier to manage it when it is dry.
Second, fill the sink with half-full cool water and add a cap full of shampoo to it. Keep in mind that you should make use of the shampoo which is special of wigs.
Third, it is time to wash it. Put your lace wig into water and move it carefully and gently so that the wig won’t be damaged. Then lift it up. Repeat the same operation over and over again. It has to be noted that all the hair should be kept in one direction. Then rinse all the shampoo out of the lace wig. If you plan to use the water faucet to rinse, control the flow of the water or you can use a sprayer instead.
Forth, when it comes to conditioning the wig, it is similar to the front operation. Refill the sink with the similar amount water and add a cap full of wig conditioner to it. Mix them absolutely.
Fifth, put the lace wig into the water completely and keep for a short time. Generally speaking, the length of the pause depends on the type of your wig and the amount of the glue and adhesive. Compared with straight wigs, the curly and wavy wigs need to be kept in for a longer time.
At last, let the wig dry on a wig head. It is not advisable to use the hair dryer instead of air dry in order to dry the wig quickly.
